There are many rumors that reveal that the location of the altar of Ismail, peace be upon him, is in the holy city of Mecca in the Kingdom, and scholars differed as to the location of the slaughter

We find that Al-Qurtubi quoted four sayings in his interpretation of it : They are

First : It is in Makkah in the first place

The second : It is in the cave at the Jamarat

 The third : that he slaughtered it at Mount Thabeer in Mina

Fourth : It was slaughtered in Syria, which is located two miles from Jerusalem. Al-Qurtubi preferred the first opinion and attributed it to the majority

“ O my son, I see in a dream that I am slaughtering you, so see what you see . ” This was the vision that our master Ibrahim saw in his dream 

God has redeemed our master Ismail with a great slaughter, after his father, our master Ibrahim, decided to slaughter it, in compliance with the command of God, “ and we ransomed him with a great slaughter , ” but we find that many opinions have come about the meaning of this ram, including

 That God Almighty has ransomed our master Ismail with a white ram with a horn, which Abel, the son of Adam - peace be upon him, raised to God and accepted it from him, as he had been grazing in Paradise for forty years

It was said that the redemption of Ismail was two white horned rams

And also that the redemption was with a goat, which descended on the Prophet of God Ibrahim at the slope of a mountain which he is called Thabeer, in Mina, in the Holy Mecca 

We find that God Almighty has described this ram with greatness, because it was grazing in Paradise, and also due to the fact that it was slaughtered according to the creed and Sunnah of Abraham, peace be upon him 

In addition, it was acceptable to God, and this sacrifice is also considered great because it was presented to God twice, the first time from Abel, and the second time from Abraham.

In the story of the slaughter of our master Ismail, we find that when God commanded His Prophet Abraham to do so, the son responded to God’s command, and neither the father nor the son refused, but here was a question about the wisdom of Abraham’s command to slaughter his son? How did Ismail respond to this command?

There was a ruling and a statement from God commanding Ibrahim to slaughter his son Ismail, and they are

- That the heart of our master Abraham be emptied of the love of his son because he was very attached to him, and the reason is that Abraham had given birth to his son after sterility and a very long life, as God wanted him to come out of his heart, which makes him cling to him, and to make his attachment to God and His commands be in advance of any Another thing, it is not attached to this degree to anyone other than the Creator

It is known that God took Abraham as a friend, and here it must be known that the boyfriend’s heart should be empty of everything except from his friend, for this reason God wanted to make the whole world devoid of Abraham’s heart so that he would be a friend and close to God

- The second interpretation regarding this matter is that the polytheists in the pre-Islamic era used to make sacrifices to their gods and idols, so God commanded Abraham to slaughter his son, for this reason he ransomed him with a ram, and it is considered a great miracle for our Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him

It is also a test from God to His Prophet, to know whether he will carry out God’s commands or not, but when God knew his truthfulness, and that he was listening to his words and approaching the slaughter of his son, he prevented him by redeeming his son with a great ram

It is also considered Ismail’s response to what he heard from his father by slaughtering him, because he was not a disobedient boy, as when he heard his father telling him the command of God regarding his slaughter, he turned to God obedient and patient to the matter, and he presented God’s love and obedience over the love of life and his father, and he did not speak Except by listening and obeying, as God - the Most High - said : ( Father, do what you are commanded, you will find me, God willing, of the patient )

And we find that Ismail’s absolute obedience to the command of God - the Most High, made him ask his father, our master Ibrahim, to have his face down, when executing the order of slaughter. By carrying out his speech, he brought the knife to the neck of Ismael to slaughter him, but the miracle happened that she did not slaughter him, as God made sure of the sincerity of the father and son, and we wished that the vision had come true and he ransomed him with the ram

And in the texts that were received from the hadith of the Prophet Ibrahim and his son : “ Abraham took his son Ishmael and kept him away so that the mother would not feel, and laid him on his forehead . ” Then the Almighty said

He said  Hey, I have stressed a Rabati so I do not hit and do anything about me

And Ibrahim came to him, kissed him, wept and said: “ Yes, my son, you are on the command of God, so he ordered the knife to be applied to him

Ismael said to him : What is the matter with you? He said : It turned, and he said to him : Stabbed it, and when it was stabbed, it did not cut anything, and that; Because God is the Creator of everything, and He is the One who creates cutting with a knife

And he was called : “ O Abraham, you have believed the dream. This is the sacrifice of your son.” Abraham looked and saw that Gabriel had a ram from Paradise with him. The Almighty said: “And we ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice ” and that was as it came and was mentioned in the book “ Al -Kamil

The birth of our master Ismail was not an ordinary event, and his birth was the reason for life in the holy city of Mecca to this day

It was the first thing when Lady Hajar, peace be upon her, placed it, when the water of Zamzam sprang up at his right foot, and this is considered a great event, as the birds drank from the water 

And when the “ Jarhum ” tribe , in whose midst our master Ismail later grew up, heard that many people go to this place, I knew that there was water in it, as he did not go to a place without water and agriculture, and when they went they saw the waters of Zamzam

When the people of the village saw the water of Zamzam, they asked Mrs. Hajar to live with her and her small child. At that time, Mecca turned into a place full of people

The place of the altar of Ishmael

We find that the place of slaughter of our master Ismail, peace be upon him, was in the people of Thabeer in Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the Kingdom

Ismail died after 137 years, and he was buried with his mother, Mrs. Hagar, in the stone near the Kaaba in Mecca, and this is the place of the stone of Ismail, and it is said that the individual who sees our master Ismail, peace be upon him in a dream, attains eloquence and honesty in saying
